Asexual reproduction
Some living things do not make reproductive cells. They make new offspring through cell division. This method of reproduction without male and female reproductive cells is called asexual reproduction.
Sexual reproduction
Many of the creatures around us can divide males and females. In these organisms, females and males make reproductive cells through meiosis, and reproductive cells fertilize them to produce offspring.
Advantages of sexual reproduction over asexual reproduction
In asexual reproduction, offspring with the same traits as their parents continue to appear. On the other hand, in the case of sexual reproduction, since various offspring appear during reproduction, some individuals can adapt to sudden environmental changes.
