Is the moon really following me?
How can you explain that the moon looks follow I?
The moon doesn’t follow me. For example, if I go forward with a car, the landscape seems to move backward. If the vehicle moves forward 10 meters, the landscape moves back strictly within 10 meters.
The same is true of the moon we see. If I walk forward, the moon moves back. If I walk 10 meters ahead, the moon will move back precisely 10 meters. However, it isn’t easy to notice that the moon moves 10 meters because it is pretty far away.
In other words, the moon doesn’t follow me. It just moves behind me like a landscape little by little.
