Sea and Land Breeze
Sea and Land Breeze is a wind that changes its wind direction every day in coastal areas. During the day, a sea breeze blows from the sea to the land, and at night, a land breeze blows from the land to the sea.
Sea and Land Breeze are caused by the air pressure difference that causes the land to heat faster and cool faster than the ocean.
- Sea breeze: During the daytime, the land heats up more than the sea. As a result, the land’s pressure is relatively lower than that of the sea, and the wind blows from the sea to the land.
- Land breeze: At night, the land cools more than the sea. The pressure of the land is relatively higher than that of the sea, and a wind blows from the land to the sea.
